    Why Book with Galapagos Journeys?
20+ years of custom-crafting galapagos itineraries  /  special relationships with changemak
ers partners on the ground  /  travel focus on sustainability + wellness

Every Galapagos Journey is a one-of-a-kind custom-crafted itinerary, concierged from tip-to-tail, with our unrivalled portfolio of Insider Access Experiences taking center stage. We listen to you and shape each day to suit your tastes and budget. Here's a look at How We Work With You to craft the best Galapagos Journeys money can buy. Just below, you'll find a special note from Eric Sheets, founder + CEO.

    Sustainability

Over-tourism is a complicated issue for many global destinations. The Galapagos Islands, though, are a true example of environmental stewardship. When you travel with us, you are directly supporting eco-visionaries, expert guides and local projects that bolster and protect the islands' natural habitats.

    Wellness

In our fast-paced digital age, many of us use travel to foster wellness. And rightly so. The Galapagos Islands' natural riches provide a wide range of experiences that have the power to humble and heal us. Your journey's particular mix of wildlife experiences, exercise, relaxation, yoga and food experiences can all be dialed in to suit your ideas about wellness.

    A Note from

    Eric Sheets

    Founder + Traveler

In my childhood, I was fortunate to have parents that loved taking long car drives to see nature’s bounty and beauty. I recall my father deciding to drive the family to see the quetzal bird so we embarked on the long trip from Chicago to Panama, in a Volkswagen bug, and we did indeed see it – the quetzal bird!
My first experience of the Galapagos was also as a kid and it immediately cast a spell: the rugged and strange terrain of some islands, the verdant islands of the south with their pristine beaches, the unique birds and animals many of which let you get remarkably close. The Galapagos offer so much to those who like to explore. When I was older, the last words my mother shared with me were: “show Galapagos to those that will appreciate and learn from it.”
Asi estamos! Galapagos Journeys was born out of a desire to create a travel company focused on preservation of the environment ... a company that champions the expert guides and business owners who are helping to preserve this incredible collection of islands ... a company that thrives on family and friends coming together and being moved by the power of nature.
Whether you seek a simpler, land-based, rough-and-tumble journey; the apex of luxury on a privately chartered yacht; or want to incorporate Voluntourism (travel experiences that “give back”), we would be honoured to make it happen.
Check out our Insider Access Experiences: they are our signature, hard-to-find Galapagos experiences that deserve to be incorporated into any visit. And our Build Your Trip tool shows you how we price a Galapagos Journey; use it to share your Galapagos ideas with those you might travel with.

Reach out to us at any time to jumpstart a discussion about your Galapagos Journey. Be well, stay curious & hope to see you here.
